This time last year I travelled to northern India with @WorldVisionAus to see their projects in education, health, sanitation, and women’s empowerment. It was such an eye-opening trip. Something as simple as getting toilets can be life-changing for communities- especially for girls who often walked hours to find privacy (making them vulnerable to physical attacks and UTI’s). Young girls in developing countries face a multitude of harsh realities including child marriage, violence, and child labour. Fortunately, I saw how programs like child sponsorship are helping overcome these obstacles and build confident women of tomorrow.
