I get asked a lot about the balance of motherhood and work. It’s been one of my biggest challenges post pregnancy. And it took me a really long time to feel like I was ready to step into a full time job again.
I dealt with guilt, the logistical challenges of splitting my time with my baby and work, the emotional struggles of missing my girl, and yet I had a deep longing for a chance to be seen and heard. To tell my story.
Now I look back at that time with so much gratitude— as challenging as it was, it’s made me the woman and mother I am today.
I wish I could tell the “6-week-postpartum-me” in this video... Just trust, breathe deep, and enjoy every moment... your time is coming. Enjoy singing Sara Bareilles’ music to your 6 week old daughter in your living room, because every moment is perfect and meant for you. Live in this perfect moment... And now, just over a year later, I get to live my dream singing Sara Bareilles songs 8 times a week... wow, look at God.
