I have debated about whether or not to post this because I know that a lot of precious kiddos follow me. I want you to know that if you haven’t already seen these images they will change your life so you have the opportunity to not watch now. I also realize that most kids have seen these images and that has affected them in whatever way it’s going to.
What I want to be translated is that I have heard children & young people talk about a conspiracy or “we did this to our own people” & that is something that I firmly do not believe. This terrible & horrific act was done by cowards who called themselves terrorists. This was done by people who twisted small parts of the Muslim religion & believed that if you killed innocent people you went to heaven and collected 17 virgins. This was done by people who felt that America deserved this.
I am fully aware that atrocities have happened long before this and will continue to do so. What I would also like for people to understand is that this was our generation’s first. And yes, it was a first for every age group… This was the first time that our generation had seen something as horrible as this & experienced the life altering effects that it had. We were truly changed forever. And for a short time we were changed as a nation… We all were Americans. There was no religion, no race, no gender inequality, no gay or straight... We were all simply Americans & we were all united.
Please keep your negative or political opinions to yourself regarding this post as this post is dedicated to our people who ran into those buildings to try to help in any way they could. It’s dedicated to our people who were in those buildings and were terrified & were wanting so desperately to get out and survive. It’s dedicated to our people who were on those planes… Who were calling their families & leaving messages on their answering machines & saying goodbye, KNOWING that it was the last time they would be able to communicate their love to the family & friends they were leaving behind. It is dedicated to our people who for a time knew they were going to die and there was nothing they could do about it. Please consider our people & be kind.
