I’m sitting in my #emirates first class suite on my way to #bali to open 4 new schools with my @karmagawa charity foundation and I can’t help but think back to the first time I flew #firstclass when I was very young and my family and I got $800 each in flight credits due to voluntarily leave an overbooked plane and take another flight instead. I didn’t grow up poor, but we certainly weren’t rich, so those flight credits were the key to upgrading us from economy for the first time in my life...and needless to say I was astounded at how amazing the experience was and I promised myself that I would #workhard and #studyhard and become successful enough to treat myself, my family and loved ones to splurges like this! Now after 20 years in the #stockmarket that dream has become a reality in more ways I could ever imagine...and I’m so #grateful for it all as I NEVER forget where I came from!
