As a born and raised (and proud) New Yorker, today is always a hard day. I choose to fill today with all the best memories of my hometown. Sometimes Manhattan gets a bad reputation, but on 9/11 I saw the true humanity of what it means to be a New Yorker. On that day, and the days and weeks that followed, I saw bravery, heroism and friendship, unlike anything I had ever witnessed. This is the New York I love. My city. Everyone’s city. #neverforget
