The human mind is truly a miracle: the day after a great dream became reality, it is almost as if I have returned to the fuzzy edges of that dream. After the night finally got the best of the adrenalin, reflecting on the feat of such an ambitious challenge, of such a complex machine that came to be - gracefully, safely and with the lightness of an inspired and flawless mechanism - leaves me speechless.

However, it is a fact that, when the desire is shared, when many have the same dream, those dreams come true. Just like this new and important page, written in Verona by all of you who have symbolically placed your hearts upon the stones of Verona by donating, by believing in our challenge and by offering concrete aid to many children, yet also giving - to me - the energy to sing. Because that is exactly what happened, because goodness (which you have chosen to side with) works wonders. And without the wonderful energy that is the force of good, I first and foremost, would not have gotten very far, with my humble voice, which was actually put to the test last night by a bout of pharyngitis that I feared would leave me unable to perform.

Just think of the miracle that is life and how infectious and potent the power of goodness is! I would like to symbolically shake the hand and thank and hug all the wonderful coworkers who helped us, to the hundreds of artists, technicians and volunteers who contributed to the success of the “Night” that carried my name, yet which should really be named after all you who replied to the invitation, sharing in the momentum of the music, beauty and charity from your homes.

Thinking about the miracle that you are and that you embody, about the dreams that - if we combine forces, if we arm ourselves with goodwill and love - we can make come true everyday, I bring my hands together in prayer and reflection, in serene humility and gratitude, certain in my faith for He who is the maker of this great wonder.
