It was during a trip to Tokyo in 2016 that London-based photographer @francesca_allen_ was first introduced to musician @aya_gloomy, through mutual friends. A year later, Allen returned to spend a month with Aya, and the resulting images of this relentless, riotous stimulation of the senses is the subject of her new book, a powerful and tender portrait of a female friendship, one which started softly and grew steadily over the course of the month.
