The past eight days featured individual vocal tracks recorded by Brian during the Pet Sounds sessions for “Don’t Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder). The vocals were recorded at United Western Recorders on February 11, 1966. Brian ultimately decided against using harmonies on the song, opting only for his lead vocal – rare for a Beach Boys song. Said Brian: “I’m proud to say it was a very pretty ballad achievement.”
