I just got an email from the @theuso and I was not expecting this, it stopped me dead in my tracks. I love our troops and am honored at every chance I get so show them how much they mean to us. Thank you so much for this @theuso - I was so moved to see our shows over the years, I can’t believe I’ve been doing this with you since 2012?!

Since 2012, she has joined USO to entertain more than 15,000 service members in a variety of locations such as Afghanistan, Spain, Bahrain, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Poland, the UAE, and even ships at sea!

In the past, Shlesinger has emphasized the positive impact these visits can have on the morale of service members and military families around the world. “The USO brings entertainment and a bit of levity to a very stressful situation,” Shlesinger said during a “Today” segment in 2014. “[J]ust to get a chance to share this with [troops] for just a couple minutes, it’s such an honor.”
