Using one’s platform as an athlete to promote civil and human rights along with positive social change is to be celebrated and encouraged.
I am proud to live in a country where the citizens have the right and ability to hold the country to its self evident truths and peacefully call for liberty and justice for all.
As a proud graduate of Marine Corps, OCS, I am also proud of those who sacrifice their own well being to use peaceful protest to make our country better, more just and more inclusive.
This is actually a celebration of our flag and all that it stands for as well as celebrating all the men and women who have fought to defend the right to peacefully protest.
