After 6 years, hundreds of episodes and many pounds, it’s time to change the name of the podcast I do with @marcbernardin every week at @scumandvillainycantina from #FatManOnBatman to our new sobriquet suggested by fans, #FatManBeyond! The reasons for this are twofold: 1) Since I’ve dropped some lb’s, the old name feels like false advertising (and that wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had that complaint, as we rarely cover Batman anymore either). And 2) I don’t actually own or have any rights to the @dccomics character #Batman - I’m just a fan who had a clever hook he’s both sorry and happy to see melt away. I thank the legal team at @warnerbros who never sent me a cease & desist, and I wanna thank you, the audience, who take the trip with me and Marc every week, in person, on a podcast or via my @YouTube channel. It’ll be the same great show you know and love with a less actionable title that also allows me to keep the Fat Man brand alive, while offering a simultaneous nod to the weight loss.
