???????? On September 2, 2018 my brother directed the choir and accepted the role of Minister of Music at our home church @geicogic. For the first song of his presentation, it was Mommy’s version of “Praying Spirit” from her debut album Finally Karen! (Originally recorded by @thelegendaryclarksisters) A classic record! Coincidentally, he chose a song that set the tone for his new assignment. #NewWave I cried during this moment and flew back home just to see this! It’s so refreshing for our church family to embrace us (and other young leaders) and make the way easy! Daddy gave a word on loving one another and it was quite life changing. I love you @jdrewsheard and I love our church family for allowing so many of us to grow and evolve. A church home is necessary. You’ve already brought a refreshing sound that’ll push us into the future, match our leader’s heart, declare the sentiments of God’s heart, and to see how you’ve served at our father’s ministry has been inspiring! Bishop Daddy @bishopdrewsheard Your heart for people and excellence is beyond inspiring! What makes you timeless is that you don’t neglect youth and young adults. You correct us but challenge us to live like #Jesus and sometimes new responsibility is what causes us to lay aside some weights. I hope this encourages other men around the world to change the labels of men serving in the church and to allow the world to see our hearts and ever changing process. Putting on the new and removing the old. You can be you but the greater you. We serve to keep us occupied and out of trouble. It doesn’t mean we’re perfect but we’ve accepted a call to build the kingdom and to be responsible to make worship experiences refreshing and life changing. #theHeartOfAServant We still believe in the church. #salute to all servants!
