I made a ‘Darla’ playlist for @spotify . The songs I listened to on repeat while inhabiting/channeling her, discovered and fell in love with while playing her, or songs that just simply remind me of her. My one regret.. Aretha Franklin’s cover of Eleanor Rigby was the original closing song of the playlist. I wish so much I had kept it. Music is so much a mirror of where you’re at, at a particular moment in time. Such a fluid, revealing thing. So very personal.
