Shazam! died today. He had a brain tumor with no symptoms until the symptoms were deadly and it happened fast. I'm grateful for that. We played tug of war the night before. He stole the puppies food. He got belly rubs. He barked at the evil bus across the lake. He commanded his bigger brother around. He owned the couch. He squeeked his toys. He was his whole, awesome self, the guy I love, my companion and my friend who made me laugh and kept me from being lonely when I was away. If he needed attention he demanded it by saying ruh ruh ruh ruhhhhh. That may sound like gibberish to you but it was tomes of information to me. I'll miss his crooked mouth and his enormous ears, his kisses, his enthusiasm, his attitude. I will plant a tree where we bury his ashes. Best dog ever. Most loved dog. I kiss you a million times and then a million times more.
