From the outside, Casa Horta is an inconspicuous, seemingly 1-story house in northern #Barcelona with a forgotten-looking facade that’s more decorative than those of its neighbors. Built in an ornate early 20th-century Catalan vernacular, it’s one of 3 boxlike homes on a narrow street near the edge of a steep hill. Surrounding it are more recently constructed low-rise apartments. But for a home with an unassuming facade, the architect Guillermo Santomà (@sguillermos) has ignored spatial logic in favor of color, light and cultivated chaos. “So, this is the house,” he said with a shrug, showing the @tmagazine writer Gaby Wood into the forest green living room.
