Today I woke up with an extra level of anxiety but instead of letting it get me down like usual I put on my vintage Chanel blouse I found in Paris last summer, spent a few minutes practicing mindful meditation, and spent the day staying away from social media. This last component is the most effective one when it comes to managing my depression and anxiety. It is so freeing to not open Instagram first thing in the morning or at night before bed. And it’s even more liberating to not even care. It took me a long time to get here but now that I’m here I’m finding joy and happiness coming back into my soul.
