For me, travel is just as much about people as it is the landscape.

This is Sopo. She lives in the Kakhetian wine region of Georgia. When I was in Georgia a few months ago researching how to create the best possible tour with my friend Sarah from @TasteGeorgia and @natiaginger, I was so lucky to have a meal with Sopo.

Sopo won a televised cooking contest called “My Kitchen Rules: Georgia.” After having her eggplant dish, and especially her fried cheesy cornbread I could taste why. Heaven.

Georgian food is so delicious. Georgian cooked with love in the home of a local is insanely extra.
