"Two young Eastern Grey Kangaroos sparring in the sunset. I took this shot at Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area on the Gold Coast, QLD.

I initially went out to shoot Koalas with no luck, so turned my attention to the roos. This is one of my favourite spots for roos, particularly during May/June as the sunsets are just fantastic. Just as I was about to pack up and head home, these two young males started to spar just as the sunset was throwing its best light. I love being able to show wildlife in all its beauty and hope to inspire people to protect wildlife and the environment through photos like this.

If I was to give a top tip when photographing wildlife it is be PATIENT. Animals are unpredictable, but if you give them the chance they rarely disappoint you." - @jjemerson_wildlife
