50 years ago this week, the Beach Boys released Stack-o-Tracks, an unusual release that contained fifteen backing tracks to some of Brian’s finest productions. Said Brian before the release, “I think it’s gonna be out of sight, I don’t know if it will sell very much, but it will be a real nice solid catalogue member. It’s nice - pure music.”
