[SWIPE FOR TUTORIAL] how I made Gnar's boomerang!
1⃣Cut the shape on 2x1cm +0,5cm high density foam sheets glued together with contact cement (do not use a hotglue gun for the love of thor) and with a pvc stick in-between for structure support. 2⃣Carve details with a rotatory tool/dremel and a pyrography tool and heat-seal the surface of the foam.
3⃣Seal the edges with clayfoam and sand them once dry.
4⃣Prime everything with liquid vinyl spray(Plastidip/Fulldip).
5⃣Paint it with high pigmented beige acrylic paint (I gave it two layers).
6⃣ Mix burnt umber oil paint with turpentine oil: cover everything and then wipe it of with a paper towel, it will give it that old bone texture.
7⃣Barnish it to pop out the color (I use satin varnish, so it's not to glossy and shinny) and add the fabric details and UR DONE.
