It’s about time for a Baby Middlebrooks update: I was diagnosed with Vasa Previa.
If this is TMI, I apologize, but we have been open about our entire pregnancy journey, so here we go... My placenta split and there is a vessel going from one placenta to the other that was completely covering my cervix. So, if my water broke or I go into pre-term labor, it could be fatal to the baby.

Thankfully, it looks like the vessel is moving away from the cervix, which is GREAT news. So, for now, it’s daily monitoring, blood work and ultra sounds.
We are taking things one day at a time but as of now, I’ll be hospitalized for the remainder of the pregnancy.
