The day before my birthday I woke up feeling empty. Looking back at the last year, from the previous birthday, was different. This year wasn’t marked with achievements and triumphs and uncontrollable laughter. But more with tears and hard work and courage. So I felt like this year wasn’t one to celebrate. But then I came to this conclusion. We never became something EXTRA ordinary when we are always faced with the easy. We only gain strength, fortitude, resilience and grace when we are stretched and challenged and confronted with making difficult decisions. That’s when the transformation happens. That’s when we became someone we admire and are proud of. So, if this year for you was messy, like mine, know that your transformation is happening. We are growing our butterfly wings.
