If you haven’t seen @crazyrichasians already, please do, and this weekend if you can. To quote @jenyamato in the @latimes , this absolutely ESSENTIAL film “will mark the first studio film in 25 years to tell a contemporary story centered on an all-Asian cast.” This is an example of storytelling reaching and fulfilling its duty to society, to both mirror it and propel it forward. I’m honored to support someone I love and admire deeply, but also I’m honored to support this dynamite of change. And as @michelleyeoh_official eloquently said, inclusion is not enough. To be celebrated in storytelling is to be opened, to have your humanity in all its richness and rawness openly displayed.
