Do you guys have a safe place? Somewhere you go to clear your mind or collect your thoughts? Do you have a favorite spot that’s sentimental or just feels like home away from home? I’ve been practicing being more present in the moment, I used to fill my free time with hobbies that consumed my attention like video games for example, it’s mind numbing and an easy escape from reality that I can use to cloud my mind from all doubts or fears. Lately I’ve been going into nature for that relief. I’ve been becoming my own friend and taking the time to self analyze instead of suffocating my problems. It’s hard to find places where I live that are quiet or desolate enough for that kind of meditation and I’m still looking for a special spot to feel that connection to.
