Cosmonaut Sergey Prokopyev (@prokopyev_iss) hand-deployed a pair of nanosatellites, also called SiriusSats, into Earth orbit during a spacewalk today outside the Pirs airlock. The SiriusSats, built by schoolchildren in cooperation with engineers, contain a space particle detector for “space weather” research.
