As students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School head back to class on Wednesday, they say they just want a normal school year. But six months and one day after a shooting killed 17 people and wounded 17 more, several students say “normal” still feels out of reach.

“At the end of the day, I’m not going to feel safe at school because I don’t feel safe anywhere,” says Jaclyn Corin, 17, a senior and #MarchForOurLives activist whose friend was killed in the shooting.
