I feel at home directing. Probably the same feeling I get doing stand up. Being in control of something that is often times uncontrollable. Figuring out the puzzle of scenes with only a script as the map to guide you.
I am an actors director. I know how to talk to actors and how to help them to figure out the answers in their own unique way. That is why you cast great actors, not to hit marks but to raise the stakes and bring the best out of actors opposite them.
@mo_abhat is starring in our short American Typecast & you will soon see he is a guy that brings the heart & humor.
I am writing my next full length feature to direct and speaking with a couple of comedians about directing their specials too. We shall see. First we need to finish editing this one and hope we get some festival love.
