Happy #worldelephantday ?‍♀️?‍♀️?? I have loved getting to know these divine creatures and helping share all my knowledge with you. I also wanted to share some pictures that I haven’t shared before from my recent trip to Amboseli National Park with @action4ifaw where I got a first hand look at their work to rehabilitate the entire park from habitat loss. I also got to pay a visit and see what elephant collars look like. Fun fact: our guide shared that elephant collars mimic what a bracelet feels like to a human. When an elephants wear it, researchers are able to track their migrations and social patterns, and then after a few years of wear and tear the collar naturally falls off. I love getting to know things like that. It just brings me closer to understanding the process to a productive future of conservation
