"When styling a bob you will have shorter length underneath. When trying to curl those short pieces use a 1 inch flat iron only giving it a little bend. If you over rotate the iron you will create too much curl. Moving up he head you will have 2 more horizontal sections that you will break into 1 1/2 inch vertical sections curling from the top of the hair down. Leave out the bottom 1/2 I have of hair to allow the curls to look soft. I use a @ghd hair @ghd_northamerica 1.25 Inch Iron ?Always use a quick dry aerosol hair spray. You don’t want to use a hot tool on damp hair. Always let the curls completely cool-spray one more time with aerosol hairspray- rug up the curls- spray roots with light wax texture spray( a wax texture spray has memory- meaning when the hair loses volume you can run your hands through your hair to re-energize the volume.
