“Abandoned aircraft found by LOVE” ❤️ @arrianelyse shared her story with me and I knew I had to share it with you. she went all out for her soul mate @maeschen_nation - she knew that he loves to travel and loves aircrafts so she surprised him and planed this shoot the day after their wedding. She wanted to make this day memorable and special for him. Here’s what she shared with me: (she’s ok with me sharing it) .
....We got married at the Budir Church the day before and the florist that lives in Iceland (who is now a very close friend) knew the land owners where the aircraft is located. She kindly asked for me if we could possibly drive to plane. Our florist got permission from the man who owns the land, but in order to be able to drive with my family, photographers, and Levi and I it would come with a price. I read and researched for months about the possibility of driving to the plane and knew it would cost something. So I set aside funds for it and if the moment presented itself I promised myself I would just go for it. To see his face light up was priceless. It was insanely cold but it was so worth it. .
this trip was rather a more personal and emotional one as I lost my father 2 years ago. That’s another reason I wanted a small intimate wedding......Iceland gives Levi and I peace. After we visited there about 4 years ago now, we fell in love and told ourselves we would go back one day...And bam... after thinking about what represented our love, life, happiness and adventures we decided to not have a typical wedding in California and we picked between Iceland and New Zealand... with the blink of an eye Levi and I were making plans with a Pastor half way around the world. So there ya have it. We didn’t do the walk. The walk to the plane that day would have been insane! To those who made it to the plane, I have total respect for because it was raining, windy, freezing cold and the only shelter was inside that plane. Sam and another photographer Davey were kind enough to ride with us and took some amazing photos. My mom along with his mom and dad were also there to go sight see with us. Photo by @samciurdar
