@calvinthompson_films is a wonderful filmmaker who was with me in Malawi as part of my partnership with @elizabethtayloraidsfoundation and @nothingbutnetsofficial.
He’s made a film about an issue that has been affecting his home city... this is a teaser...you can find the whole film here:
https://vimeo.com/282283008 ... “I've been wanting to make the film for years, and it's based on a friend of mine Ntando Msibi - an ex-street child who's part of the Surfers Not Street Children project in Durban. In a nut shell, Surfers Not Street Children takes kids off the street, giving them a home and food with other kids in the project, and provides surf coaching and mentorship amongst other things to get them off drugs, headed toward productive brighter futures. They've had some epic success stories, Ntando is one of them, it's super rad.” He wants to make a series of films around topics like this, to help inspire change and giving. Check out his work.
