I posted the other day about the Red Wolf...in North America our ecosystems are becoming fragmented and degraded... Humans. The number of species in the wild is declining, struggling to adapt to ever changing and extreme environments mostly due to habitat encroachment... humans. We as humans need to enact way bolder conservation action plans to meet these challenges and undo the damage we’ve done for centuries. @wildlandsnetwork methods of conservation call for the reconnection, restoration and rewilding of landscapes on a continental scale for long term life long term sustainment, As an ambassador and supporter, I’m nominating them for #glassybabygrants.

One example of their enlightening efforts is their Red Wolf Campaign. Wildlands Network is leading the charge for a management plan that requires USFWS to reinvest in red wolf conservation for the species on the brink of extinction in North Carolina with better law enforcement, better landowner outreach, and releases of captive wolves to support the wild population. Wildlands Network is illuminating the way for species to move and migrate through healthy, intact ecosystems through influencing wildlife corridor legislation in D.C., a leading group behind landmark policy on connectivity introduced in 2016. *
