After more than a year living on the streets of #Tallahassee, Phil applied for a job at #McDonald’s — and with a little help from a police officer, he landed it.
.
Phil applied for the job in July, but was told he had to shave his beard to be hired. When Officer Tony Carlson spotted him struggling with a broken razor and no mirror, he stepped in. Touched by their interaction, a passerby filmed the moment and uploaded the video online, where it quickly went viral.
.
“We couldn’t be more proud,” the Tallassee Police Department said in a tweet celebrating Phil’s first day on the job.
