I see a trend everytime I scroll through instagram. We are in essence looking at the “best parts” of everyone else’s lives - their “highlights” hardly ever their “LOW lights”. And that makes us feel a certain way - we may get inspired and so we do something we have been puttin off for a while or it gives us the kick we needed to take action in our own lives - OR - it might make us feel crappy about ourselves, “oh I don’t have all that” , “Why can’t I look like her”, “why do some people have everything and I’m still here living like this” , “stop showing off your body and ur money we get it blah blah blah” ....it’s so easy to make us feel shit about our own life. But also remember - those SAME people have shitty days like you too, they just don’t post about them- they might not have any meetings that day and instead they are home in their pajamas with nothing to do, instead of “making moves”. ! ? Those perfect abs with perfect lighting in a perfect pose might not be poppin that day so they won’t take a selfie that day. ??? they might have had an argument with their boyfriend , so you won’t see a “happy couple” pose that day. EVERYONE is tryin to win in this rat race- but where are they placing their happiness ? In the amount of likes they get on a picture? In how much love they get in their comments? Or the time they spend with their real friends in real life at dinner, laughing and talking with family, playing with their kids and goin on a vacation with the people they love, the people that matter, the people they will miss when this is all over. If you place your HAPPINESS in something fickle and unpredictable, it’s a pretty scary place to be. Constantly refreshing the page for another “hit”. Take this very moment, the NOW, and ask yourself “am I actually LIVING in the moment or am I waiting for something miraculous to happen to me before I start being grateful for all that’s already good in my life?” It’s good to wish for more, and for more blessings. I do it too! But in the MEANTIME- while its making its way to you - go out there and LIVE your best life! ????❤️
