McGwire’s 8th inning homer off Brewers reliever Mike Myers, his last in the month of July, drove in his 99th and 100th runs of the season, making him the third Cardinal all-time to amass 100 RBI before the end of July (Hornsby, Bottomley). The 408-foot blast was just Mark’s second opposite-field home run of the season.
