The cast of '#StarWars: Episode IX' has been unveiled and it has been confirmed that Carrie Fisher will appear as Leia, using unreleased footage from 2015's 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens.' Director J.J. Abrams on the decision: "We desperately loved Carrie Fisher. Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us." The film opens Dec. 20, 2019.
