#ThisIsGrassroots: “It meant a lot that I could experience summer basketball with my mom. Being able to look over and see her in the stands or on the court because she was so involved with the program was really cool because sometimes people can’t afford to travel with their kids. I was real fortunate to travel the nation with her and have her with me for such a big part of my life. It was basically my ticket to the @NBA, I was constantly working toward my dream every summer and I gave it my all. Being back here is awesome, I still talk to some of these kids pretty regularly, giving them advice you know? I was once where they were, so I like to keep them motivated when I can.
