"I'm already in my third trimester but I haven't posted many bump photos because in all honesty, I've felt like ? this pregnancy. I don't feel pretty, my stretch marks have become super visible, and my pregnancy 'glow' is really just sweat from it being a furnace outside ?? I'm embarrassed to admit I've spent far more energy focusing on my woes than my blessings.

This morning, I was staring at myself in the mirror, feeling like I was looking at a foreign object. I wondered if my stretch marks would ever go away, if my loose skin would ever tighten, if I'd ever feel like 'myself' again (whatever that means). All the sudden, Ryah walked up to me, reached up to kiss my belly and said, 'Mama! Pretty!' I instantly started crying (thanks hormones ?). Yes - my body HAS changed, and it's resulted in one of the biggest blessings of my life. I'd choose stretch marks and loose skin every day if it means I get to embrace the joys of motherhood.
