We are nearing the halfway point of the Stay Human Tour and through each city we have traveled to, I have been inspired by the thousands of people I have met who share the belief that equality and social justice are values that we must stand up for. Everyday I'm reminded of the power of a collective. In my world people are brought together by the power of music. One of my goals is that when people come to my shows, they fill tank up with optimism, hope, and the courage to stand up for what they believe in.
Today I dedicate this post to Nia Wilson who was killed yesterday in my birthplace of Oakland, California. I know there are millions of people around the country who share my concern about the amount of violence we are seeing. We cannot let these wrongs be unheard. Together we raise our voices for those who can not speak for themselves.
