In Cowes, The Duchess met lifeguards from the @rnli before heading to Trinity Landing to see the new passenger ferry.
After officially naming the new Red Funnel ferry "Red Jet 7", The Duchess got to meet crew members and try out the horn in the control room.
After meeting members of the public on the sea-front HRH attended a reception at the Royal Yacht Squadron Club where she gave a speech.
At the reception HRH said: "I just wish I could stay a bit longer and have a swim in the sea.... "Thank you all very much and I very much hope I shall be back soon, hopefully on a holiday."
