Buddhist monks shave the hair of the boys who were rescued from a cave in Northern #Thailand, as they take their first steps to being ordained as #Buddhist novices.

The boys will live in a temple for 9 days, the same length of time they were trapped in the flooded Tham Luang cave. The gesture is meant to honor Saman Kunan, the #Thai Navy SEAL who died during the rescue operation.
