I’m near the wild shores of Cornwall now but the stories of @tigerbeer @wwf @ケンゾー ‘s collaborative project have stayed with me in their bid to raise awareness of the dwindling wild tiger population in the world
The @rarestripes #RareStripes collection featuring four emerging artists has now launched with the added bonus of the real tiger stories (which were the artist’s’ inspiration point) embedded into the garments through QR code
In particular I was drawn to Singaporean artist @esther.goh ‘s illustration telling the tale of Amur tiger Uporny (meaning ‘stubborn’ in Russian) and his life of malnourishment in his deforested habitat, rehabilitation and eventual release, only to be killed in the wild by a larger tiger
Please do support this worthy project if you come across the @rarestripes collection where ALL proceeds go towards @wwf ‘s Tx2 initiative - to try and double the population numbers to 6,000 by 2022
