I had the chance to join @greenpeaceuk on a creative disruption in London. Activists scaled the Barclays HQ in Canary Warf to re brand the building as ‘The Dirty Bank’. Barclays is the only UK Bank still choosing to fund toxic tar sands pipe lines in Canada. If you’ve seen ‘Before The Flood’ you may remember those apocalyptic scenes of the tar sands. This form of fossil fuel extraction produces some of the dirtiest oil on the planet.

To get this oil onto the market Canada want to build three new pipelines, but at a time of rapidly accelerating climate change, we simply can’t afford to burn any more fossil fuels.

To make matters worse, these pipelines are prone to spills, which could devastate local communities’ water supplies and surrounding wildlife.
