William Penhaligon's fragrant adventure continues... After a rather tumultuous journey, William Penhaligon finally arrived in Halfeti. William was met by a local guide and whisked off to his lodging in a honey coloured house in the medieval town. Before he did anything, he had to find the rare black rose. His map showed all the areas covered by these dark red/black roses however there was a mark on the map that hadn't been there before. He looked closer, and saw that it was a tiny glossy black rose marking a place outside the usual area for roses. He knew he must go there. And when he got there, the scent of the roses hit him. It was mesmerising and magical; it was the moment William had been waiting for.
