Lately I cannot get enough of @brenebrown's writing! While I was on vacation I listened to "The Power of Vulnerability" and "The Gifts of Imperfection" which have had me thinking a lot about shame. Brene writes "If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive." The effects of shame are devastating and it is so important to not only bravely share our own story, but also to respond to others with empathy and understanding.
