Have been looking forward to going to @bratrestaurant since it opened (was a huge fan of @tomos_pp at @kittyfishers) and finally went last night. It was wonderful: beautiful, simple, smoke-embued.
This grilled bread with anchovy (think of a garlicky pizza base pitta-shaped puffball) was so good I had to eat three. Swipe for grilled peas in their pods; oysters roasted with seaweed (not hot just tasting even more intensely of the sea); the sweetest, softest fleshed langoustines; smoked potatoes in a golden pond of butter; cheesecakes baked and charred in the wood oven.
