This was my very first @franklinchristoph pen, my first time having the legendary customer service experience that they’re so well-known for at any pen show. My son was with me that day and overwhelmed from the overly crowded room. The first time I ever saw him smile, relax and feel at ease with laughter was at the @franklinchristoph table upon meeting Jim Rouse @penmon_1. What a kind and gentle rascal of a grandpa soul, who somehow was able to reach through a little boy’s anxious frustration and make him feel right at home. He let my son come over on the other side of the table while he worked on this pen with his signature S.I.G. nib that became a thing of a legend. I haven’t had the heart to break the news to my son quite yet. He already lost his real grandpa and now the one from pen shows. I’m quite reserved and private myself, it takes genuine kindred spirits to make me feel comfortable and I remember that Jim had an uncanny ability to do this with anyone. All were welcome at his table and I think that says a lot about the kind of heart he had. Sending my heartfelt condolences and prayers to my @franklinchristoph family who have been so abundantly good to me and my family. RIP, Jim. You’ll always be remembered in our hearts.
