#LeilaniEstatesEruption #KilaueaVolcano UPDATE (July 16 at 3:15 PM): *Watch this with the SOUND UP* First look video from a passenger on board the Lava Ocean Tours boat that was hit by a #lavabomb thrown up in the air during a #lavaexplosion at the #Kapoho ocean entry earlier this morning. The lava rock and debris blew through the roof of a Lava Ocean Tours boat operated by Shane Turpin. 23 of the 52 people on board were injured. 12 were treated and released for minor burns and abrasions — among them, a man from California who captured this footage, in which you can hear passengers screaming as the lava bomb lands on their tour boat. Will Bryan says he is fine, just shaken up with tons of cuts and burns. Only one patient remains in serious condition, a 20-year-old woman — who #HawaiiNewsNow has learned is visiting from the Midwest. She was airlifted to Oʻahu with an extensive pelvic/leg area injury.
