Thank you for all the love, messages, gifts, flowers, cards and treats. Having my 90th birthday has been quite an occasion and wonderful fun. I can’t say that it has been one special day as it has stretched over many and I have been partied, entertained and spoiled. -

I do think it is important to celebrate big milestones and events in life. It’s good to pause the normal routine and take the time to celebrate life events. As you know I don’t do retiring and I enjoy my modelling work but much of daily life consists of many routines - exercising, cooking, shopping, cleaning, changing beds, gardening, emails and admin. I still do all of these things as I always have (although I don’t drive anymore and have help with heavier shopping items and big gardening work). I’m lucky that I’m able and can continue - if one can do these things I do think it helps keep you active and fit.

Now none of these essential and important chores are exciting - now for exciting! My fabulous big 90th party was special. I know I shared a few photos with you in my last Daphne News https://www.daphneselfe.com/90-years-young/ but I wanted to share more photos with you. -

On the stunning roof terrace at The Century Club in London’s Piccadilly, arranged by my close friend, photographer & model Alistair Guy on a scorching hot day. Organised and hosted by my children and grandchildren. With friends and family from so many different walks of life it was so lovely to all be together - of course I didn’t get to speak to anyone enough as is often the way but the champagne flowed. https://www.daphneselfe.com/thank-you-for-the-love/

Now it is mid July and there is going to be another pause - Claire & I are going to take a break from the inbox and internet and will be back with you in September. -
