Long before instagram or facebook where currently lifestyle and turtles and shit are trending ... I shot this photo of @freddybooth napping on the beach with his fellow local simply because it was a moment I wanted to hold on to ... it was taken with a camera that used a floppy disk ? I shot it simply because it was an amazing moment of things I loved and wanted to hold onto and relive ... we get so focused on the likes and engagement on social platforms that we forget the greatest purpose of home media and why it started ... and that is to capture and hold on to the realest memories that truly matter to us most ... those special people and places that when all the hype is done and dusted we can look back on and remember what were the best parts of our lives. I encourage everyone to value likes on instagram less and when shooting think more about what’s really gonna matter in 20 years ... the kids that aren’t kids anymore ... the older loved ones that aren’t around anymore ... the places you wish you could revisit the way they were back in the day ... trust me ... eventually you’ll realize what really matters and that’s what you’ll wished you captured and held on to ❤️ #youhearme?
